  9. The  warm  and  old air struck him in
  10. the face as he woke up.  His head was
  11. pounding  and  stomach revolting.  He
  12. could'nt   remember   anything   from
  13. yesterday  and  the  flat  was a fine
  14. mess.   It seemed like there had been
  15. a party here last night but he did'nt
  16. care  much.  He tried to sqweece down
  17. a  sandwhich  but  it came up just as
  18. quickly.   After  taking  a shower he
  19. went  over  to school.  It was a fine
  20. day  here in east L.A and not as many
  21. smoking  buildings  as  there usually
  22. whould be.
  23. The  class had started as he entered,
  24. without  even  looking at the teacher
  25. he  went  to  his chair and sat down.
  26. Falling  to sleep almost at once.  He
  27. heard  a  noice and stood up, holding
  28. on   to  the  chair  to  prevent  the
  29. fainting  glimmers  in his mind.  The
  30. school  seemed  empty and he went out
  31. to  see  what  was going on.  Outside
  32. the    school    there    were   some
  33. gangmembers   hanging  around.   Then
  34. somebody came up to him and said .  "
  35. Hey Billy boy!  Wanna go for a ride ?
  36. "Suddenly  Billy  saw  the  357  Colt
  37. Python  he  had  pointing towards his
  38. chest.  Bang!
  39.  
  40. "  Hey  man !  Wake up Billy..  Can't
  41. be hanging around this place all day.
  42. The room was empty as far as he could
  43. ¶see.   The only guy who was there was
  44. Ricky,  a 17 year old boy who used to
  45. hang   out  with  the  Hoowers  gang.
  46. Ricky  went  out  and Billy followed.
  47. Ricky went to his locker and said.  "
  48. Hey  Billy!   Wanna  take  a  look at
  49. this?".   And he showed him a gun and
  50. said.   "Take  it!" Billy took it and
  51. asked  "  What  is it?".  "It's a 9mm
  52. Glock   17,   it's   for   your   own
  53. protection"."Don't   you  need  it?".
  54. "Naa!   I've already got a Ingram Mac
  55. 10  so  I  can  smoke  every  fucking
  56. nigger who's trying to pop me.!"
  57.  
  58. Billy   left   and  went  down  town.
  59. Looking  for  something to do he went
  60. into  a  licker  store  and  bought a
  61. bottle  of  whisky.   The clerk stood
  62. behind   the   counter  counting  his
  63. money.   Wow!   You should really rob
  64. one  of these places if you wanna get
  65. some really fast cash.  Billy thought
  66. while walking out from the store.
  67.  
  68. He went down to check out the movies.
  69. The  only  movie  going at the moment
  70. was  an old action movie with the big
  71. hero  on a huge poster outside on the
  72. wall.  After a while of reconsidering
  73. he  went  inside  the  cinema and got
  74. himself  a  nice  seat  .   After  10
  75. minutes   of  the  movie  Billy  fell
  76. asleep.Dreaming     about    shooting
  77. somebody,it  was  a  scary  dream and
  78. when Billy woke up he was soaked with
  79. sweat.

  81. After  the movie he went home to take
  82. a shower and to get something to eat.
  83. ¶He  made  some  eggs  and  fried some
  84. bacon and the meal was ready.  He ate
  85. with  a lot of appetite and the whole
  86. time  he  wondered how it would be to
  87. kill a man.
  88.  
  89. At about 8 Am, Ricky came by and they
  90. sat  down  and  drank  quite  a  lot.
  91. Ricky wanted to go to a party and off
  92. they were.
  93.  
  94. Billy  sat  into  his car drunk as he
  95. was.   Driving  down  the  street and
  96. suddenly  recalling  that  he  did'nt
  97. have any money.
  98.  
  99. And  suddenly  suggesting  that  they
  100. should  rob  a  licker  store.   Five
  101. minutes  later they stood outside the
  102. licker  store  and  getting ready for
  103. the big heist.
  104.  
  105. Ricky  went  in first with the gun in
  106. the  air  pointed  at the clerk.  The
  107. clerk  did  not even have time to say
  108. anything before the Sub - Machine gun
  109. talked.   The  thumbing  sound of 9mm
  110. hits  in  the  human  body made Billy
  111. feel  sick  but  after  the  first 10
  112. shots   he  started  to  get  normal.
  113. Ricky went for the cash while.  Billy
  114. covered  the  door with his new gun .
  115. He  saw  a  woman  coming  across the
  116. street  and he thought " Please don't
  117. come  in  here." The woman opened the
  118. door  to  the  store  and  there  she
  119. stood.  Eye to eye with a 17 year old
  120. boy  with  a  gun  in his hands.  The
  121. first  hit  took  in  the side, right
  122. through the liver and out through the
  123. ¶back.   The  second bullet took right
  124. below   the   left  breast,  smashing
  125. through  a  lounge  and  crushing the
  126. spine  making  the  hole  in the back
  127. huge  as  a  tennis  ball.  The woman
  128. stood  stunned for a second, he could
  129. see  a  sign  of  suprise in her eyes
  130. before  she  fell  on the cold floor.
  131. Billy stood still thinking.
  132.  
  133. He  was  wondering how it would be to
  134. kill  another  human.   Now  that  he
  135. knows   he   does'nt   want  to  know
  136. anymore.
